Kenko Yamamoto was born on March 10, 1909 in Firwood, Washington to Genta and Takeyo Yamamoto, one of nine children: Dorothy, Sak, Robert, Peggy, Jim, Rose, May and Mary. Kenko was in Camp Harmony with her two children. Her siblings were at other camps.
Kenko went to Firwood School where she excelled at baseball. It was there she met her husband, Stanley (Fuzz) Elliott. They have two surviving children, Sue Elliott Wallace and Roy Stanley Elliott and six grandchildren.
Kendo passed away in 1976.
