Shikano immigrated from Japan in 1906 met with her husband Masako and settled in Seattle Washington. They raised 1 boy Yoshitami,and 4 daughters, Masako,Yae, Sadako, and Katsuko. They were sent to Minidoka internment camp during WWII. after the war she settled back to Seattle where she passed sometime in the 1950's.
