Born in 1905, in Anai, Japan. Migrated to the United States in 1924, on the freighter Asama Maru. Worked on a farm in Fife, then later was in the restaurant business where he worked at the Marion Cafe, Western Cafe, and ran Jim's Cafe on 2nd Ave. S. and S. Washington St. in Seattle, until he retired. In Minidoka (Block 14, Barrack 5), he was on the kitchen crew. He had 3 children with his wife Toshiko (Morooka). He passed in July of 1986.
