NVC Foundation Japanese American Memorial Wall

Born in Seattle, to Jinsaburo & Kin Morooka, in 1919. She was sent back to Japan for her elementary education and returned to Seattle at the age of 14. She later married Kiyomitsu Yakushijin. They were incarcerated at Minidoka, Block 14, Barrack 5. After the war, they moved back to Seattle. She worked as a waitress and seamstress as she raised her children. She passed in 2005, at the age of 86.
